KIM HOHLWEG ~ BIOGRAPHY
Born in 1967, just outside London, Kim has lived and worked in Cornwall nearly all her life. She specializes in wildlife paintings and pet portraits. Her fascination for wildlife started at an early age and with a love of drawing it was a natural step to combine the two. This led to a great demand from family and friends asking for a painting for them. She is self taught but did attend The Falmouth College of Arts to obtain a wider perspective of the world of art. She is an active member of the Newquay Society of Artists and divides her time between
painting in her studio and visiting various animal parks in the search for new material.

She sells her paintings and prints through "Made in Cornwall" events, the Devon County Show, the Royal Cornwall Show, the internet and local galleries, including Chase Art Gallery in Wadebridge and the Bank Street Gallery in Newquay.

She has also had her artwork used as illustrations by a local tourist attraction in its guide books, information boards, postcards etc and in 2004 and 2006 she won the "Wildart" painting competition and exhibition held each year at Paignton Zoo.
